Eric Siegel has worked across the spectrum in the entertainment industry for nearly twenty years, making him uniquely qualified to consult with a range of clients on a host of creative and career-related issues. He founded Hyphenate Creative in 2009 as a way to tie together these various strains of his experience into a cohesive whole, focusing on helping others maximize their full creative and business potential.
In addition to his work with Hyphenate, Eric is also a writer-actor. He is currently co-producer on the Fox sitcom "Traffic Light". Previously, he was on the writing staffs of the sitcoms "The Hard Times of RJ Berger" (MTV, 2010), "Roommates" (ABC Family, 2009) and "In Case Of Emergency" (ABC, 2007). He has written pilots for NBC, Sony Pictures Television, ABC Family and Fox Television Studios and is the author of several plays including (wish), which had its off-Broadway premiere in New York City in 1999.
His film and television acting credits include THE ONION MOVIE (2008), I LOVE YOUR WORK (2005), the role of John Belushi in the ABC movie GILDA RADNER: IT'S ALWAYS SOMETHING (2002) and the ABC television pilot MY WONDERFUL LIFE (2002) among others. Stage work includes roles in world premieres of plays by Charles Grodin and Neena Beeber, the 2001 Broadway company of "A Thousand Clowns", and many others, both in New York and Regionally. Eric is also a member of the Rude Mechanicals Theater Co. in New York City and served as its Artistic Director from 2002-2004. In that capacity, he oversaw all aspects of the company's creative endeavors and produced the critically acclaimed Off-Broadway premiere of Don Delillo's play Valparaiso.
From 1992-1996 Eric served as a development executive for Jon Peters, producer of such blockbuster films as SUPERMAN, BATMAN, RAINMAN, THE WITCHES OF EASTWICK, GORILLAS IN THE MIST, among many others. Eric began his employment as an assistant and eventually advanced to V.P., Creative Affairs, where he was responsible for finding new material, developing existing projects and interfacing with studio executives, agents, writers and directors. During his tenure there, he participated in the development of the films ROSEWOOD, FIRE DOWN BELOW, MY FELLOW AMERICANS, THE WILD WILD WEST, MONEY TRAIN and many others.
Eric holds a B.S. in Theater from Northwestern University and an M.F.A. in Acting from the American Conservatory Theater. He lives and works in Los Angeles.
